Salt Lake Roasting Co. is a Utah roaster whose owner, John Bolton, began roasting in the fall of 1981 on a 10 kilo Probat roaster. He opened the first retail location in 1983. He says he buys organically produced coffees whenever possible and seeks out estates with shade-grown, ecologically balanced farms.
